App Installation

Outsmart® app allows user to have all controls in one single app.

  • Download Outsmart App:
    • Visit the Google Play Store (for Android devices) or Apple App Store (for iOS devices)

    • Search for “Outsmart” and click the “Download” or “Get” button

  • Register Your Account:
    • Open the Outsmart app and follow the registration prompts

    • Create a new account with us to get started

  • Grant Necessary Permissions:
    • To ensure seamless connectivity, please grant the Outsmart app access to:
      • Notifications
      • Location
      • Wi-Fi
      • Bluetooth
  • Important Wi-Fi Configuration Note:
    Most smart home products, including this device, are compatible with Wi-Fi 2.4GHz networks only.
  • If you have a combined router:
    Please contact your telecom provider for assistance on how to disable Wi-Fi 5GHz to ensure proper connectivity.
  • Pre-Connection Checklist:
    Before adding your device, please ensure:
    ✓ Bluetooth is enabled on your mobile phone
    ✓ Wi-Fi is enabled on your mobile phone
    ✓ Your mobile phone is connected to your home Wi-Fi network (2.4GHz)
     

Installation Precautions

  • ALL ELECTRICAL AND WIRING WORKMUST BE PERFORM BY PROFESSIONAL LICENSED ELECTRICIAN
  • TURN OFF CIRCUIT BREAKER POWER AND USE A TEST PEN TO ENSURE NO ELECTRICITY ON WIRES BEFORE PROCEEDING

Traditional Water Heater Switch

All traditional water heater switches in Asia are wired up with 3 wires, neutral, live and earth.
However smart switches only require 2 wires, neutral and live. 

Outsmart Zigbee Water Heater

Most water heater only require 20A to power up, Outsmart provides a buffer and safer options with 30A and 40A

Reset Switch / Enter Paring Mode

Method  1:
To reset the switch and enter into pairing mode, long press the first gang for 10 seconds, you will see the indicator light flashing

Method 2: 
5 short press on the on/off button
then long press on the sixth times. Release the button immediately when you hear a beep sound.
Indication Light will start flashing 

Blue indicator light is ON, Green Indicator light is OFF Green indicator light will be removed after pairing is successful Indicator light can be turned off after connection

Ensure Outsmart Zigbee Hub is Connected Successfully

A Outsmart Zigbee hub is required in order to use Outsmart Zigbee products 

If user has more than 1 zigbee switch, it is recommended to reset all together and let it enter pairing mode.

Zigbee hub will then locate all together at once.

Connect Device

  • Tap open Outsmart Zigbee Hub on home screen
  •  Tap Add New Devices
  • Ensure Zigbee Product are all in pairing mode
  • App will auto discover the product that are within range, otherwise, reset the product again
  • You are Connected!

FAQ

Zigbee Hub is unable to located my switch

As zigbee hub connectivity is similar to Wifi connectivity, it is likely that your switch may be too far to reach

Product indicator light is not blinking.

Long press the first gang for 10s, try it multiple times

Light is flickering

Lights that are not 10watts will flicker if user don’t wire up capacitor, suggest to wire up or change to a higher wattage

Can I leave the last light switch empty without any output?

Yes you can, as long as the first switch is powered up by a Live wire, the second or third switch can be empty and be used as a scene switch to turn on Aircon, TV, smart plug, note that you would require other smart devices to do that.

Can the switch be used for fan?

Yes, since August 2023, all our Wall Switches are upgraded, and it can work with Ceiling Fan, Laundry Rack Etc, Suggest to wire up at the first gang
